APPLY FOR THE REFUGE

Each man that enrolls in the refuge will be agreeing to the following schedule:

The first 30 days you must live in a 16 x 24 tent with beds. You’re on what we call the Man-Plan. No sodas, thirty push-ups and thirty sit ups every day. You must read the book of Proverbs at a pace of 1 chapter a day for thirty days. Each man will be required to quit using all drugs and tobacco and nicotine products.

After the first 30 days, each man will move into the Bunkhouse. You will then have 7 months left of your first phase commitment. You will be given a writing assignment - to write the New Testament word for word and memorize Romans Chapter 6. The writing can be done at a pace of 1 chapter per day. Once moved into the bunkhouse, each man will then be eligible to go to work.

The Refuge is a working program. The Refuge will pay each man a daily wage to work. 20% of all earnings will be kept back to help cover the expenses of your housing IE: Electric Bill, Water Bill, Food costs, Gas for transporting to class and church services, etc. The other 80% of earned money will be used to pay off any fines you might have, renew driver’s licenses, buy a vehicle, rent an apartment, etc.

A valid driver’s license is a requirement for graduation, and we want the men to use their own earned money to accomplish this and these other goals as well. The Refuge not only wants to help men get on the right track spiritually, but we want to help men get on the right track physically as well.

Our goal at The Refuge is to prepare each man with a plan to live a successful sober life rooted in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
